Abstract:

Aiming at the problem that the cogging torque of permanent magnet motor influences its control precision and performance, this paper proposed a method that the permanent magnets chamfering can suppress the cogging torque effectively. Take a 30- slot/10-pole permanent magnet motor as an example, the finite element model of the electromagnetic field of the motor is established by using the numerical simulation principle,The method of reducing the cogging torque by chamfering is simulated and analyzed. The results show that the size of the cogging torque is related to the height and the width of the permanent magnet chamfering. Selecting the appropriate cutting angle height and width can effectively reducing the cogging torque. The simulation results show the effectiveness and correctness of the method of cogging torque reduction.
