Abstract:

To relieve the dependency on master sources of conventional master-slave control strategy and improve the system power adjustment ability, the novel master-slave control strategy is proposed. The droop control is used in the battery inverters which as the master sources and the power control is used in the distributed generation inverters which as the slave sources. The photovoltaic cell model is built and its converter is designed to ensure the maximum power output. The control block diagram of V/f and PQ control of the conventional master-slave control strategy is given and the angle droop control is adopted to improve the control effect. The angle deviation problem caused by frequency droop control is solved by using angle droop control. The simulation model is built and the comparison of conventional and novel master-slave control strategy is made. The results demonstrate that the novel control strategy maintains the stable operation of the microgrid system and effectively reduce the dependency on master sources. The proposed control strategy also enhances the power adjustment ability of the system to balance the larger fluctuation of distributed generations and loads.
