Inductance Parameters Identification of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine at Standstill

Abstract:

An innovation of inductance parameters identification for permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM), combined with the initial rotor position detection technology, was implemented by applying a high frequency voltage to stator. The inductance of d- and q-axis can be calculated from the equivalent model of PMSM after the rebuilt voltage and responsive current signals were processed with Discrete Fourier Transform. Herein, we primarily introduced the merit and defect of the existing inductance identification methods of PMSM and further analyzed the presented principles and states of space vectors in detail using the mathematical model. In order to confirm the efficiency and accuracy of this identification method, parameter identification system and vector control system were established. Ultimately, the results indicated that this method which is particularly suitable for interior permanent magnet synchronous motors, can identify inductance parameters of PMSM satisfactorily and reduce the current harmonics effectively.
