Abstract:

Ultra-high frequency(UHF) detection method is widely used in discharge detection for GIS equipment, the performance of UHF sensor affects the reliability of detection results. In order to avoid the poor performance of the sensor, the test results are not instructive to the field work, so it is necessary to carry out parameter detection periodically for different manufacturers and different models of UHF sensors. The time interval between the two tests may affect the test results and work efficiency. Three UHF sensors of a certain type are taken as the object, and the rule of the influence of the time interval on the change of the effective height is obtained. The test results show that the maximum effective height and average effective height of different UHF sensors of the same type are obviously different, so one sensor can not be used to represent a batch of products; for the same sensor, when the test interval changes from 5 to 20 minutes, the effective height does not change with the test interval time obviously. The data obtained from many test results are dispersive, so the effective height of the sensor needs to be expressed by the values of many test results. The research results can provide a reference for standardizing the process of obtaining the effective height of UHF sensor by using GTEM cell.
