Segmented Balancing Control Strategy of Neutral Point Voltage in Three-Level Vienna Rectifier

Abstract:

In the paper, the reason of neutral point voltage (NPV) fluctuations is analyzed in Vienna rectifier, and a segmented balancing control strategy (SBCS) is proposed based on normalized three-level space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM). Duration of small vectors are changed in a sub-cycle under different modulation indices. Meanwhile, the strategy has the advantage of simple algorithm. Finally, the SBCS is verified by simulation results.
