Abstract:

D-PMSG based on Z-source inverter uses a three-phase diode rectifier. Stator side current harmonics will not only increase the motor's copper and iron losses, but also produce motor saturation and runaway phenomenon. What has seriously affected the stability of the system and reduced power generation efficiency. This paper presents a wind turbine generation system based on the Z-source inverter, which takes in the VIENNA rectifier. A period of stator voltage is divided into six sectors in this paper and equivalent circuit is researched in different working stages. A Z-source inverter control strategy is proposed according to the determination of Z-source inductor value. The simulation and experimental results prove the theoretical analysis very well.

Key words: Z-source inverter, VIENNA rectifier, wind power generation, harmonic suppression
