Abstract:

A hybrid core reactor is proposed based on silicon-steel and amorphous alloy in this paper. Amorphous alloy is used as core legs and silicon-steel is used as yoke core in the designed reactor. The electromagnetic and thermal field coupled model is built using three-dimensional finite element method. Compared with the conventional silicon-steel core reactor, the simulation results show that the designed hybrid core reactor can reduce eddy-current loss and temperature rise.
