Study on Life Prediction of Railway Relay under Vibration

Abstract:

Reliability and safety of railway relay in its work is a must to ensure that the various railway equipment can work normally. As a result, railway relay plays an important role in the train control. In this paper, according to the test conditions and the principle of accelerated test, the accelerated life test plan of railway relay under vibration has been made, also the relay contact point voltage data are acquired in the accelerated life test. The contact voltage is chosen as the relay characteristic parameter indicating performance degradation and wavelett hreshold method is introduced in order to improve the quality of contact point voltage data. At the same time, EEMD-RBF model is established to predict the life of relay. By analyzing the errors between EEMD-RBF and RBF, it shows that the EEMD-RBF model has a better prediction accuracy. Finally, based on the predicted life, the inverse power law equation is used to extrapolate railway relay life under the normal vibration stress.
