Application of New Generation Weather Radar Echo Detection in Mountain Fire Prevention of Transmission Lines

Abstract:

To effectively make up for the inadequacy of traditional fire monitoring method, and accurately analyze fire development situation, a new generation of weather radar is applied in fire monitoring, and it will open up a new field of fire monitoring. The weather radar can scan the scope of the terrain environment around 120 km. On the basis of the principle of Doppler technology criterion of ignition, the weather radar can quickly identify latitude and longitude coordinates after the fire ignition in six minutes. A mobile client APP is developed. When the APP receive the ignition of the latitude and longitude which are transmitted from radar system, the software searches and sinds that the line patrol personnel of the pole tower and the line guard within a certain range near the fire point who could respond to the early warning information in a timely manner. At the same time, the radar to detect the smoldering fire monitoring effect is better than other methods. It has good all-weather monitoring, monitoring of continuity, found early, early warning and more accurate positioning, and it can detects more fire that other monitoring system can’t early warning of fire. The application case shows that in the Qingming festival, winter and other vulnerable mountain fires, the work of mountain fires prevention and control is greatly promoted, which is helpful to reduce the number of jumping accidents caused by mountain fires.
