Review on Lightweight and High Efficiency Permanent Magnet Motor and Its Control Techniques

Abstract:

The lightweight and high efficiency design of the motor system is conducive to improve the carrying capacity and extend the endurance, which has become the core demand of the development of major equipment. Firstly, the key design technology of lightweight permanent magnet motor is expounded from the aspects of high electric load, high magnetic load and high linear speed. Then, the design method of high efficiency permanent magnet motor is described from the different loss suppression in the motor. Moreover, the high-precision thermal analysis and high-efficiency thermal management are analyzed to ensure the reliable operation of lightweight and high-efficiency permanent magnet motor. In order to achieve the purpose of lightweight and high efficiency of the control system, the maximum torque per ampere and maximum efficiency per ampere are analyzed. Finally, based on the development status of high efficiency and lightweight permanent magnet motor, the future development trend is prospected.
