Numerical Calculation and Analysis of Abnormal Partial Discharge Electric Field in High Voltage Switchgear

Abstract:

Since 2015, two switch short-circuit faults have occurred in a station in Guangxi power grid. In view of the switch cabinet of this type of switchgear, the whole network has been put into general survey, and the local release test of individual type switchgear is found. A thorough analysis is made on the test situation of the switch cabinet. Also aiming at the installation of the switchgear cabinet, a wireless temperature measuring device is installed, and the COMSOL simulation software is used to simulate the distribution of the electric field after installing the wireless temperature measuring device on the busbar conductor of the line switch cabinet. The simulation results show that the distribution of the electric field is distorted and the maximum electric field amplitude is increased by 97.2% after the installation of the wireless temperature measuring device.
