Abstract:

When the load changes, the motor is required to run at different working points, which will cause the change of motor performance parameters. In this paper, the influence of load variation on motor torque ripple and core loss is studied. Taking a 37kW low speed high torque permanent magnet synchronous motor as an example, the influences of load variation on the flux density of air gap and the coefficient of torque ripple are analyzed. Then, the distributions of the iron loss at the top tooth, the tooth body and the yoke of stator core at the rated load are compared, and the relationship between the flux density distribution and the iron consumption is revealed. The changing trend of magnetic density with time in different regions of stator core is studied, and the variation rule of core loss is obtained. Finally, the variations of the copper loss and the efficiency with different load are analyzed. The research contents in this paper are of theoretical value for optimizing the core structure design and torque optimization of motor.
