Research on Control Strategy of DC Microgrid Interface Converter

Abstract:

A mathematical model of DC microgrid interface converter is built in the dq-frame coordinate system, according to its operation characteristic. By analyzing three control strategies of power controller separately, a novel design method of power controller is proposed with DC voltage-active power droop control. Based on the presented control strategy, a two-way grid-connected interface control is realized, and a controlled sinusoidal current is obtained with few harmonic and unit power factor. Meanwhile, DC bus voltage can be kept stable. An electromagnetic transient simulation model is built in PSCAD/EMTDC, and the effectiveness of the new grid-connected interface control strategy is validated. Results show that the proposed control strategy is accurate and feasible.
