Abstract:

Considering the additional noise and loss caused by the commonly used high-frequency injection method at the low-speed range, a new method is proposed, only the current derivative under the action of zero voltage vector in the SVPWM control mode is required to estimate the position. Under the range of the action of zero voltage vector, the relationship between the d-axis current derivative and the rotor position is obtained by deriving the equation of the PMSM under the estimated rotating coordinate. This algorithm is verified in the Matlab/Simulink, and the simulation results show that this algorithm can estimate the rotor position accurately and quickly under the condition of starting with load and step input of speed, and the position error is less than 1°.
