Analysis on Vibration Problems in Transformer Core

Abstract:

Due to the natural tendency of siliconized plate, transformer core vibrates during the working period. The core vibration is the main vibration source in transformers. This paper focus on the vibration performance in transformer core. First, the electromagnetic-mechanical coupling mechanism is studied and a multi-physic analytic model is built for a S13-M-400/10NX2 in distribution network. Then, under rated conditions, the distribution of flux density, shape strain and stress are studied respectively. In the end, sensitivity analysis is given to show how excitation source influence the vibration performance. The proposed model contributes to estimate the core vibration and design the clamping devices for the transformer core.
