Research on the Application of New Hot Cast Copper Clad Steel Composite Metal Material in Substation Grounding System

Abstract:

Firstly, the principle and importance of substation grounding system are discussed. Secondly, selections of grounding system materials both in domestic and overseas are analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of several common grounding materials are summarized and concluded, the basic conditions of substation grounding system are demonstrated. Thirdly, a new hot cast copper clad steel composite metal material is presented, of which the liquid copper is cast on the steel core through the unique hot melt continuous casting technology in the high temperature of over 1 150 ℃ without oxygen environment, and then made through the specific processing technology, with not only good thermal stability, flow capacity and corrosion resistance, but also excellent hardness and softness. Fourthly, taking practical substation grounding project as the carrier, the superior economic characteristics are analyzed from the perspective of the whole life cycle. Last but not the least, some suggestions are put forward on its further extensive application in power system grounding.
