Abstract:

Combining the technologies of linear motor, flexure bearing and oil-free clearance seal, a linear compressor has advantages such as long life, low vibration and high reliability, which make it a key to insure the high performance of a Stirling-type cryocooler. A linear compressor can be divided into three parts, those are electric, mechanical and acoustic parts, in which acoustic load is provided by a cryocooler. The acoustic impedance significantly effect the performance of a linear compressor. In this paper, the acoustic impedance characteristics are analyzed, and from this point of view, an reverse measurement method of the spring stiffness, the moving mass, the specific motor thrust and the damping coefficient is proposed, it is expected to provide reference for impedance match and performance test of a linear compressor.
