Experimental Research on Influence of Special Climate Conditions on Hydrophobic Properties of Silicone Rubber

摘要:

硅橡胶绝缘子具有良好的憎水性和防污闪能力,因此在输变电外绝缘设备中有着举足轻重的作用。为了研究硅橡胶绝缘子在极端气候下的绝缘表现,首先在实验室内人工模拟低温、紫外线和酸雨等极端气候条件,然后对从复合绝缘子产品中获取的硅橡胶绝缘试片开展试验研究,通过测量试验过程中硅橡胶试片表面的静态接触角来分析几种特殊气候条件对表面憎水性的影响规律。试验结果表明,低温能改良硅橡胶绝缘子表面的憎水性,在-40℃条件下,经过240 h后,静态接触角比试验开始时增加了约23.2%;紫外线和酸雨都会加速绝缘子表面材料的老化,从而削弱硅橡胶表面的憎水性,经过336 h紫外线照射,试片表面的静态接触角下降超过60%,而在pH≈5.6的酸雨条件下,经过336 h,静态接触角下降约12%。表面静态接触角的降低代表憎水性能的下降,将会直接影响硅橡胶复合绝缘子的绝缘性能,导致污闪概率的升高。研究结论可为复合绝缘子的运行维护带来参考。

Abstract:

Silicone rubber insulators have good hydrophobicity and anti-pollution flashover ability, so they play an important role in transmission and transformation external insulation equipment. In order to study the insulation performance of silicone rubber insulators with various extreme weather, the extreme weather conditions such as low temperature, ultraviolet radiation and acid rain are simulated artificially in the laboratory. Then the silicone rubber insulation specimens obtained from composite insulator products are studied experimentally. The influence of several special climate conditions on surface hydrophobicity is analyzed by measuring the static contact angle of the silicone rubber specimens during the experiment. The experimental results show that low temperature can improve the hydrophobicity of silicone rubber insulator surface, and the static contact angle increases by about 23.2% after 240 hours at -40℃. Both ultraviolet radiation and acid rain can accelerate the aging of insulator surface materials, thus weakening the hydrophobicity of silicone rubber surface. After 336 hours of ultraviolet radiation, the static contact angle of the specimen surface decreases by more than 60%. Under the acid rain condition of pH≈5.6, after 336 hours, the static contact angle decreases by about 12%. The decrease of the static contact angle of the surface represents a decrease in the hydrophobic performance, which will directly affect the insulation performance of the silicone rubber composite insulator, resulting in an increase in the probability of contamination. The conclusions can bring reference to the operation and maintenance of composite insulators.
